Helping special needs children with Swings and Smiles

Based in West Berkshire, Swings and Smiles is a brilliant charity whose aim is to build, equip and run a recreational facility for families of children with special needs in Newbury. Elected by our Employee Committee as our nominated charity, we have held raffles, bake sales and donated products to help them meet their target of £400,000 to equip their new centre.

 

Newman's Own, all Profits to Charity

Newman’s Own, a consumer brand we represent in the UK, does everything in the name of charity – in fact they give every penny of profit to charity. It’s no surprise then that in 2010 the Newman’s Own Foundation gave Swings and Smiles $10,000 to help with their projects. This donation has enabled the charity to launch its sibling support service.

Supporting Naomi House in 2011

For 2011 we nominated our second charity, Naomi House, for the Newman’s Own Foundation $10,000 grant (and were delighted to learn recently that they had been successful!)

Naomi House is a purpose-built children’s hospice near Winchester supporting families from Berkshire, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset and across central southern England. It offers respite and terminal care for children living with life-limiting illnesses and every year we support their Christmas card appeal.
